kolibri CORDLESS - Application example: scanning of statues with a cordless portable multi-view fringe projection system

Capitoline Venus
Kritios Boy

3D-reconstruction of two statues using the "kolibri CORDLESS"

"Capitoline Venus" - Original from middle of 4th century B.C.
PARAMETERS OF RECONSTRUCTION
45 different images of the statue
1 hour and 20 minutes for the scanning
more than 11 millions of 3D-points computed

"Kritios Boy" - Original from the year 480 B.C.

PARAMETERS OF RECONSTRUCTION
27 different images of the statue
40 minutes for the scanning
more than 6.5 millions of 3D-points computed

 GENERAL PARAMETERS
 OF THE EMPLOYED MEASUREMENT SYSTEM
The area of each scan is about 200 x 300 mm
IIt takes 0.2 seconds per scan, and 1 minute for processing
the data
The distance between the object and the scanner is about
300 mm
Reduced ambient brightness is required at the moment of scanning
Each scan supplies between 200 000 and 300 000 different points
