Wafer-Level-Optics

Micro-optical imaging systems differ from conventional camera set-up in the degree of their miniaturization and consequently their production technologies.

For handling reasons during processing as well as the typical demand for cost-effective manufacturing, extensive parallelized production methods at wafer level are used. Focal areas of research are: optical design, boundary conditions of component manufacture, construction and joining technology and coupling to electronic image converters.
