Photonic Sensors and Measuring Systems

Light as an instrument of precision opens up a wide range of possibilities for metrology, sensor technology and analytics. Diverse optical and opto-electronic measuring and sensor systems are developed at the Fraunhofer IOF. The spectrum ranges from process-integrated quality assurance and 3D shape measurement via surface characterization to terahertz spectroscopy.
