Systems for Surface and Coating Characterization

At Fraunhofer IOF, custom-designed measurement techniques are developed for the characterization of surfaces and thin film coatings in the lab or even in the production line. Light scattering based methods combine advantages like sensitivity and accuracy with properties that are of crucial importance for practical applications such as non-contact measurements, high speed, and robustness, which makes them well-suited for fabrication environments.
