SID - Mid European Chapter Spring Meeting 2018

Displays, Applications, and beyond

The SID Mid Europe Chapter organizes yearly spring and fall meetings with technical and scientific presentations, attracting many European display professionals. The 2018 spring meeting will focus on Displays, Applications, and beyond. Basic technology will be covered as well as systems or applications.

One highlight of the conference will be the first day hosted at the castle Leuchtenburg including the evening event with a knight's banquet.The second day of the meeting will take place at the Fraunhofer IOF and concludes with a visit to the laboratories of the Fraunhofer IOF.

The 1500 Euro SID ME Student Award will be granted to the best student contribution to this meeting. Click here for further informations.

This year the €1500 Student Award will be granted to the best student contribution to the Spring Meeting 2018. The Award is granted for an outstanding scientific or technical contribution to research on information display. The applicant must be a student (up to and including PhD student) when the work is performed and must be a member or student member of the SID-ME Chapter when the application is submitted. Please note the very low price ($5) for student membership.

Lab Tour Fraunhofer IOF

On Wednesday April 18, 2018 (at Fraunhofer IOF) there will be a small exhibition
in addition to the meeting. The following companies will be present

The conference will be hosted by the Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Optics and Precision Engineering (IOF) in Jena, Germany.

First day (April 17) will start at the Fraunhofer IOF, for rest of the day the conference takes place at the castle Leuchtenburg (Dorfstraße 100, 07768 Seitenroda, Germany) including the evening event with a knight's banquet. Transfer to and from the castle is organized and included. Alternatively the castle can be reached by car (parking lots are available).

The second day (April 18) of the meeting will take place at the Fraunhofer IOF and concludes with a visit to the laboratories of the Fraunhofer IOF.
