Since the number of participants for this event is limited, we prioritize registrants who submit a contribution proposal.

Become active yourself and shape the event with your contribution

As this event is from young researchers for young researchers - we strongly encourage you to submit a contribution proposal. This is your opportunity to share your work with colleagues from Fraunhofer. Whether you are a seasoned researcher or just started your quantum journey – propose a topic. The main goal here is to facilitate a productive exchange of ideas, you do not have to present results.

At the registration stage, provide a short description of what you would be willing to present provided you get a slot. After the deadline we will select from the submissions and notify the registrees. Plan with a time slot of 10-15 minutes. Think of this as an introduction to a later open discussion about and around your topic.

Your audience will have diverse backgrounds, so we recommend an easy-to-follow presentation that can either be a regular slide talk, a whiteboard talk, a notebook session or other forms of presentation. This should help later discussions about your research once the participants grasp the fundamentals.

You can also submit a poster. We will have a poster room where anyone will be able to check out your work during the event. You can always submit a poster – regardless of whether you have already submitted anything else – and there is no limit on the number of accepted posters. Hence, you could, for example, submit a demo of your work together with a poster that will be on display during the entire event.

If your research is not in one of the three subject areas but you would still like to participate, feel free to register – with a contribution, motivational letter or none of the above – and we will consider your application.

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us at quantum.doc@iof.fraunhofer.de.

We encourage you to be creative and have fun with it!
